Woman Burns Step-Son's Hand For Adding Disinfectant In His Bath Water

 

7years old Awwal got his hands burnt by his step mum for adding izal(disinfectant) to his bath water, Awwal sustained serious injuries from the burn inflicted by his step mum who is now in the police custody. After this incident a distress call was made to the President of Child to Child Network,  Ngozi Ekwerike-Okoro a Non Governmental Organisation, NGO.

Awwal was rushed to a mother and child hospital at Gbaja, the doctor on duty refused to treat the boy, saying that the hospital was built basicaly for  mothers and children in the state. He was then rushed to a private hospital at Mushin where he was given immidiate attention and treated for free.

 Awwal's school teacher advised that he should not be taken back to his step mother because he is always coming to school with bruises. 

Awwal said he added few drops of izal to his bath water and his step-mother got angry and place his hand on a burning stove on Sunday and got treated on Thursday
